Head Coach: Greg Shamburg
Northern Oklahoma College – Enid Head Coach Greg Shamburg enters his 23rd season of coaching with a combined record of 473-239. Coach Shamburg begins the 2012-2013 season with high expectations coming off a season of 23 wins and another Region II finals appearance. Coach Shamburg began his coaching career at Northern Oklahoma College – Tonkawa where he helped the Mavericks win 3 Bi-State West Conference Championships, two Region II Championships, and a school record 28 win season. Coach Shamburg has coached and recruited over 40 Division I players and had multiple players play professionally around the world.
In 2004 and 2005, Coach Shamburg joined the staff of the Oklahoma Storm and Brain Gates of the United States Basketball League. The Storm won two Conference Championships and Coach Shamburg was named the Assistant Coach of the Year in the league.
Coach Shamburg has a record of 211-133 since coming to Enid 11 years ago. Two Conference titles, a Region II Coach of the Year award, and 3 Region II Finals in the last 5 years puts the Jets with more wins in the Region II Tournament than any team in the Region. The Jets return five starters and are looking forward to another great season. Greg and his Wife Kathi have two children Addi (17) and Foster (13).
Assistant Coach: Ryan Mahoney
Ryan Mahoney enters his 3rd season as Assistant Coach at Northern Oklahoma College-Enid. In his first 2 season with the Jets, Coach Mahoney has help lead teams to a finals and semi-finals appearance in the Region 2 tournament. He is a graduate of Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management. Ryan really enjoys living in Enid and looks forward to a bright future with Northern Oklahoma College- Enid.
