LINDA J. BROWN (Ponca City, OK), Chair   She is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Evans & Associates Enterprises, Inc. in Ponca City. Regent Brown attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Her term expires in 2008.


KEITH JAMES (Pond Creek, OK), Vice-Chair.  He is a real estate broker and owner of JKJ Real Estate and Auction in Enid. He is involved in farming and ranching. Regent James was appointed by Governor Frank Keating in 1996 and re-appointed by Governor Keating in 2001 to serve as a member of the Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents. Regent James received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Economics from Oklahoma State University in 1966. His term expires in 2006.


LYNN SMITH (Enid, OK), Secretary, is the owner of Lynn Smith Portraits. A 1961 alumnus of Northern Oklahoma College, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and a Master of Science degree in journalism from Oklahoma State University. He was formerly Director of Public Relations and Journalism Instructor at Northern Tonkawa and later was Professor of Journalism at Phillips University in Enid. Regent Smith was appointed by Gov. Brad Henry in 2005 to a five-year term as a member of the Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents. His term expires in 2010.


RICHARD L. DETTEN (Ponca City), Member, is a farmer and rancher in the Tonkawa-Ponca City area. He owns and operates a diversified crop farm. His operation includes beef cows and stockers program and is a partner of Bar 11 Feeders, a stocker back grounding program. He graduated from Amarillo Junior College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Texas Tech University. Regent Detten was appointed by Gov. Brad Henry in 2004 to a five-year term as a member of the Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents. His term expires in 2009.


JESSE PEREZ MENDEZ (Stillwater, OK), Member, is a faculty member at Oklahoma State University in the School of Educational Studies. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and history from Midwestern State University and a J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law and Ph.D. from Indiana University School of Education. Regent Mendez was appointed by Gov. Brad Henry in 2007 to a five-year term as a member of the Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents. His term expires in 2013.
