Region 2 Champions!
Jade Ovendale led the Mavericks to another Region 2 Championship scoring both goals in their 2-1 victory over NEO. Jade's first goal came just nine minutes into the game when she scored off an assist from Shay Nash. Later in the half Jade ran through two defenders, one of which fouled her, and shot from just inside the box to put the Mavs up 2-0. NEO would make it a game scoring with just twenty minutes left in the game, but that would be all of the scoring and the Mavs would claim another title. Angel Burdette played a great game in goal for the Mavericks making nine saves. Stefanie Rodgers, Shay Nash, Regina Fox, and Mercedee Carlton did a great job on the back line for the Mavs playing the whole game.
